This topic explains how to make a VoIP click-to-call voice call through Address Book:
In order to make a click-to-call voice call through Address Book, contact your System Administrator to verify that a VoIP (Voice over IP) server is enabled for this service. In addition, make sure you and the recipient of your voice call both have a built-in microphone.
Click a contact in Address Book. Next, click the phone number of that contact.
A drop-down box lists Convergence's offerings of click-to-call services.
Click Call this number.
A window displays the Contact's name in the lower right corner opens.
The voice call window in the lower right-hand corner displays a status, such as: “Calling <12234567890>.”
Click the microphone icon to mute or unmute the call.
Move the volume bar to the desired volume. Note: the volume bar is disabled if the call is muted.
Click the telephone icon to disconnect the call.
Minimize active calls by minimizing the call window. The minimized window displays a yellow pulse to remind you of the active call.
Note - You can only make voice calls to Convergence contacts in your company or network.
To accept an incoming voice call, a window displays "Incoming call from <Contact>." Click the green Accept to accept the call.
